My Family Tree 3.0.5.0 now available

The latest version of My Family Tree introduces a new report builder, which allows you to create over 15 different types of report including a discrepancies report which checks your tree for potentially incorrect data and ancestral loops.

My Family Tree 3.0.1.0 adds new accessibility features

Today we launched a new version of My Family Tree with several improvements primarily related to ease of access.  Here's a summary of the accessibility features available in My Family Tree:

  • Support for the new OpenDyslexic typeface from opendyslexic.org which improves text readability for dyslexic readers.   Once installed on your device, you can enable the font by pressing Ctrl+D.
  • Support for high contrast themes which can be selected from the Themes menu.
  • Support display zoom which enables you to make all the text and controls larger.

My Family Tree 3.0

Today we launch a new version of My Family Tree with many improvements and new features.

Here's a summary of the main new features:

  • Chart printing as tiled pages which can be assembled to create a full size tree.
  • Scan and printing support for photos and attachments.
  • Support for relationship events, multiple names, citations, addresses, and contact details.
  • User interface enhancements and two new themes.
  • Performance and stability improvements.

Feature focus - display zoom

With display zoom, you can now zoom in to make all the text and buttons appear larger, helping both to make text easier to read on high resolution screens and bringing improvements to navigation on touch screens and tablets.  You can change the zoom level in Tools⯈Options⯈Theme.

Remember the My Family Tree family charts fully support touch gestures on touch screens and tablets making it easy to navigate your family tree. The following gestures are supported:

  • Tap a person to view additional information about them.
  • Double tap a person in the diagram to select them.
  • Pinch using two fingers pressed on different people to zoom in or out.
  • Drag the tree using a single finger.

My Family Tree 2.0.4.0 and GEDCOM Validator 1.0.3.0 released

We begin 2013 with updates to both My Family Tree and our GEDCOM Validator tool. These builds add several fixes as well as several improvements aimed at making the software easier to use on a wider variety of devices.
