The final major update of 2011 adds several new features and enhancements including an interactive map viewer and a multi-touch enabled "touch show" photo viewer for users of Windows 7 and above with touch enabled displays.

My Family Tree 1.0.9.0 released
The latest version of My Family Tree introduces many performance and stability improvements, UI fixes and enhancements, new and updated translations, a relationship calculator, photo capture tool, place coordinates, journey export tool and password protection for family tree files - the first genealogy software to do this.

Preview of new date time pickers
Here is a quick look at the new date and time pickers coming soon to My Family Tree. You will be able to easily specify date ranges throughout the application and also add times of events.

Features coming in August 2011
Based on your feedback we now have a small list of features under consideration for future builds. These are:
- Application wide date and time pickers which also support date ranges.
- Map country to country movements via places export.
- Improvements to file compression.
We are still seeking volunteers to help translate My Family Tree to additional languages. Thanks to several volunteers around the world, My Family Tree now supports 10 different languages. If you can help, please get in touch.
